Change made to TRL Annual Racing Series

It was recently discovered that the 2011 Regional Special Olympics is going to be held on June 4th. This is in direct conflict with the Run for the Roses race. Since the Special Olympics is a very important event the Lizards are involved with, the decision was made to switch to a different race in June. Our resident race expert, Joe Dudman, recommended we go with a local 5k named Run for the Love of Dove held a week later on June 12th. This race benefits the Dove Lewis Foundation, which offers emergency care and critical care for animals. The board loved the idea knowing that our membership is full of animal lovers. We also love that this race starts and finishes at the Lucky Lab on NW Quimby, same location as our First Friday Socials. Post race beer is always a plus.

Be sure to watch the message board for posts on how you can volunteer at the Special Olympics. This is a fantastic event held at the Mt. Hood Community College and such a rewarding experience.
