Stumptown Cross Country needs you… to volunteer!

Earn the sincere gratitude of muddy runners by volunteering at Stumptown Cross Country!

By Kate Gigler

OK Lizard Nation.. Now that your Labor Day shenanigans are over it’s time to get down to the business of the day, which is STUMPTOWN CROSS COUNTRY. Stumptown Cross is the cross country series that puts our club on the map when it comes to well run and competitive local races.

This is an all volunteer run event and in the past Lizards have come out in force to staff this thing up. We are recruiting for volunteers for this FIVE Race series. In the best case scenario volunteers would be able to fill the same volunteer role at every race, as this leads to a very smoothly run operation. Obviously this is not possible for most of us because we have other things going on, but please consider whether you could help out at more than one race in the same role.

Race locations are listed below, and I will send out, via e-mail, directions to the venues as we get closer to the race dates.

Questions about volunteering or need other info? E-mail me at kate@redlizardrunning.com

A note on start times: our first race, at Portland Meadows, starts one hour earlier than the other four. If you’re volunteering at the Portland Meadows race on September 28, you will need to arrive ONE HOUR EARLIER than is listed here.
