Halloween Spooky Run – Wed, Oct 26

By Mark Mochon

So you think you’re pretty tough. You think you’re pretty brave. Well here comes your chance to test yourself – the Red Lizard Annual Halloween SPOOKY Run is rapidly approaching and it is not something to be taken lightly.

On Wednesday, October 26 instead of doing our usual Buffalo Gap route over the Sellwood Bridge we’ll veer right and head straight up into the Riverview GRAVEYARD. At dusk ! Be prepared to possibly encounter ghouls, goblins, witches and zombies as we wind our way through the land of the dead.

It’s not required but it is rumored that costumes are a good way to ward off these evil spirits. So dress up ! It’s your best protection.

WHERE: Buffalo Gap Saloon ( 6835 SW Macadam Ave, – 4 blocks south of the entrance to Willamette Park).

WHEN: 6:00 pm – Wednesday, October 26, 2016.

DISTANCE: About 5 miles – with hills.

WHY: Because Lizards laugh in the face of fear (and sometimes curl up and cry like babies).

Costumes encouraged. Flashlights and reflective clothing would be smart.
See you on the 26th. That is, unless you’re a-skeered.
