2018 Tour de Goose: Let Them Run with Cake!

The Tour de Goose, Team Red Lizard’s long-running tribute to the Tour de France (and all things French and fabulous), is swiftly approaching. From the sheer pandemonium to the polka-dotted jerseys, silliness reigns supreme in Le Tour. You need not be fleet-footed to win points in this series. Puzzle-solving skills, a sense of style, or just plain luck can work to your advantage. (You can even earn points for volunteering.) And even better, it’s free!

Le Schedule:

Stages 1 & 2: Guillotine Mile and 400-Meter Mathematique – Tuesday, July 10th/6:15 p.m. at Duniway track. (Followed by awards, prizes, and camaraderie at Lair Hill Bistro.)
Stages 3 & 4: Marseillaise Musical Chairs and French Waiter Relay – Thursday, July 12th/6:15 p.m. at Lincoln High School Track. (Followed by awards, prizes, and tomfoolery at the Goose Hollow Inn.)
Stage 5: Jokers Running Wild – Monday, July 16th/6:15 p.m. at Alameda Brewhouse on NE Fremont & 48th. (Followed by awards, prizes, and free snacks at Alameda Brewhouse.)
Stages 6 & 7: Scavenger Hunt and Storm the Bastille/Let Them Eat Cake Hill Sprint – Wednesday, July 18th/6:15 p.m. at Buffalo Gap Saloon and Eatery. (Followed by awards, prizes, and free beer at the Buffalo Gap.)
Stage 8: Church Steeple Chase Challenge – Sunday, July 22nd/8:30 a.m. at Starbucks on NW 23rd. (Followed by potluck picnic brunch at Wallace Park.)

Feel free to do as many stages as you wish. Additional details will soon be provided on the message board and TRL Facebook page. Questions? Contact David Hatfield at Colridge01@yahoo.com or Kristen Dedeaux at Kristen.dedeaux@gmail.com, or you can catch them at the Thursday Goose run.

Vive le Tour!

  2. 2018 Tour de Goose Stage 1 &2 will be this Tuesday July 10 @615PM at Duniway track. That would be Stage 1 – the Guillotine Mile – and Stage 2 – the 400 Meter Mathemetique.

    This…will be epic.
