Team Red Lizard is a non-profit that is managed by a board of directors. The four “officer” positions (president, vice president, secretary and treasurer) are elected for 2 year terms and according to the TRL bylaws, can name up to 9 other directors. The current board of directors (click on name for email):
Garland has been a member of TRL since 2015 and runs competitively in the 50+ masters division. To stay motivated, Garland enjoys setting a wide variety of running goals such as placing 1st in his age-group, accomplishing PRs at odd distances, and finishing bucket-list, destination races.
I don’t even recall how long I’ve been a TRL member, but I do know it’s double digits. I love the team camaraderie we have and have built many life long friends on the long runs, Stumptown XC, Labor Day camp outs and social gatherings.
Carre has been running competitively since age eleven and has been a club member for over a decade. She has served as a cross country team captain, helped organize multiple trips to USATF Club Cross Country Nationals, and has recently been helping organize the Sunday long runs.
Torrey has been an active TRL member and board member for longer than he cares to admit. After being a 400/800 meter runner in high school and college, he has enjoyed racing cross country, road and trail races of all distances since then.
Running serves as an important medium for positive work/ life balance in my life. I joined Team Red Lizard this past year and I believe forming the relationships I now have serves as a key driving force to keep me going and striving to be a better runner and a better version of myself!
