The Tour de Goose is proceeding apace, after a slow start due to smoke. We now have four stages down, two at Duniway, and two at Goose Hollow. Three to go, for an exciting finish. Next up is the Downhill Mile Pseudo-Predict at Duniway on August 25, followed by Le Goose Handicap at Goose Hollow. We then finish out with the Storming of the Bastille and cake for everyone. (Dates subject to change if we get smoke.)
Meanwhile, here are the standings as of August 21. Numbers in parenthesis are the number of events contested, if more than 1. These will serve as tie breakers. Race-by-race scoring details are here. Scoring rules are the same as for the Spring into Summer Series. Winner in each division gets 100 points; last gets 20 points; those in the middle are apportioned linearly. Volunteers get 60 points. Some events score open and masters separately. Predicts, the handicapper, and the Trivial Pursuit Pursuit do not.
